Shore A Basic

DESCRIPTION: 

ADIS Durometers Shore A (Basic) is made from a special Zinc alloy, which allows our durometers to be compact in size, without compromising their durability and strength.

The key benefit of our Durometer is the unique design of its transmission system, which allows us to use HSS (High-Speed Steel) Rods as Indenter (Contact point) which is then guided on Linear Ball Bearings and not on Bush Bearings like in most Durometers, as a result, the coefficient of friction is significantly lower while using the Durometer. Hence, results in smoother transmission and increases our Durometers sensitivity.

 It’s designed to fit comfortably & firmly in your hand.

 It has a secondary red Drag Pointer which helps while measuring the hardness by following the main pointer and remains at the highest point until it is reset by a knob on the front of the Durometer glass.

It has an Accuracy of ± 2 HA (Used for measuring the hardness of products or components with low tolerance & for educational purposes)

Measuring force of 8.06 N (0.822 gm.)

Indenter (contact point) is made of HSS Rod and has the hardness of 60 HRC which is ground to shape of a truncated cone with the included angel of 35° with close tolerances of ± 0°30”

Its pressure foot diameter is 18 mm. (± 0.5mm.)

Its net weight is approximately 200 grams.
